THE MAJORS RETURNS TO DRAG RACE BRACKET BONANZA WITH BURNYZZ SPEED SHOP SPONSORING THE GATORNATIONALS

By: Werner Communications

DALLAS (March 4, 2025) — Drag Race Bracket Bonanza (DRBB) is hitting the ground running for the 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season. Right off the bat, they are kicking off the year with the return of The Majors, beginning with the AMALIE Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals, March 6-9. And to make matters even more exciting, Burnyzz Speed Shop has signed on as an event sponsor.

The Majors is one of several mini-series that DRBB introduced last year, in an effort to break up the 20-race drag racing season into smaller chunks. The series includes three historic races: the AMALIE Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals (March 6-9), the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals (March 27-30) and the Cornwell Quality Tools NHRA U.S. Nationals (August 27-September 1). In addition to handing out five DRBB event plaques at each of these races, players who place high in this series win bonus prizes, all a part of the free game.

“We received great feedback on The Majors after last year,” said DRBB founder Elon Werner. “Players loved having a reason to get excited about races that are outside of the Countdown. The Gatornationals, Winternationals and U.S. Nationals deserve to be celebrated, and we’re thankful that Burnyzz has stepped up to be a part of it.”

Burnyzz Speed Shop, owned by Top Fuel driver and team owner Josh Hart, is based in Ocala, Florida, located about an hour south of Gainesville Raceway. Founded in 2010, Burnyzz has grown into an entire city block of everything automotive. The shop offers services such as paint and body, vintage and modern full builds, motor swaps, custom interior and existing interior restorations, and dyno tuning. Burnyzz motto is “Quality over Quantity, every time.” They are known nationally as Hot Rod Heaven due to their state-of-the-art facilities offering everything a car enthusiast could ask for, including a 100,000 sq. ft. auto sales showroom and classic car restoration shop, auto detailing and a high-tech service center.

“Both Burnyzz and NHRA drag racing are passions of mine,” said Hart. “The Gatornationals is my home race, and where I picked up my first Top Fuel win in 2021, so it holds a special place in my heart. Because of this, I like to make Burnyzz as involved with this race as possible, including our annual FanFest event held the Wednesday before the race. This year we are also adding on a Burnyzz display at the track, as well as this DRBB sponsorship. When fans think of the Gatornationals, I want them to also think about Burnyzz, and sponsoring Drag Race Bracket Bonanza is just one other layer to that.”

Drag Race Bracket Bonanza will have a table at the Gatornationals Burnyzz FanFest, held at Burnyzz Speed Shop (1 Aspen Rd., Ocala, FL 34480) on Wednesday, March 5 at 6-9 p.m. There will be a driver autograph session from 7-8 p.m., with over 40 NHRA drivers in attendance. Outside of the autograph session, there will also be a live band, food trucks, face painting, balloon animals, a raffle and a car show. It’s a free event, and all proceeds raised will go to EARS, a local endangered animal sanctuary.

“As fans are waiting in line to get hero cards signed by their favorite drivers, we’ll have a table signing people up to play Drag Race Bracket Bonanza,” said Werner. “We’ll be handing out stickers and spreading the word about our free bracket game. I’m grateful to Burnyzz for allowing us to start off the season by giving us an opportunity to talk directly to fans who may not be familiar with us yet. That’s how we keep this thing growing.”

Fans can follow DRBB on social media for cool stats, prize updates, and info on Twitter/X at @dragracebb or @DragRaceBracketBonanza on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.

DRBB players will have the chance to fill out their brackets for the first time in 2025 during the Gatornationals when qualifying ends at Gainesville Raceway on Saturday, March 8. They will then have until the first round of eliminations begins on Sunday, March 9 at 10:30 a.m. EST to submit their picks. Fans can watch the NHRA broadcast on FS1.
