DALLAS (November 13, 2024) — Heading into the final race of the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip the first full 20-race Drag Race Bracket Bonanza season will conclude with the crowning of an overall season champion as well as the DRBB Countdown champion. Double points will be awarded this weekend in all four professional categories and 12 players are in contention for the top prize while three lucky players will be awarded Countdown championship belts.

“This was the first full season of Drag Race Bracket Bonanza, and I am thrilled to see a tight battle for the overall championship and the Countdown come down to the last race of the season,” said Elon Werner, Drag Race Bracket Bonanza creator. “Thousands of players have played throughout the season, and we have awarded prizes to players in almost all 50 states as well as Canada and the United Kingdom. I love that our players are passionate about drag racing and have really taken Drag Race Bracket Bonanza to the next level this season.”

The overall season champion will be awarded a specially designed Impact Race Products helmet signed by all the drivers and riders who made the Countdown. The four Mission Foods Drag Racing Series champions will sign the visor at the conclusion of the final NHRA national event. The top 20 overall finishers will receive $25 gift certificates from season-long prize sponsor Summit Racing Equipment. The top three finishers in the DRBB Countdown will receive championship belts signed by the four world champions.

“I have to thank Summit Racing Equipment for their season long support with gift certificates and Impact for providing an awesome helmet that Brandon Baker from Baker Design really made special with a cool DRBB look,” said Werner. “The best thing about building Drag Race Bracket Bonanza has been providing a chance for drag racing fans of all ages to get engaged with a sport that is awesome. We see cool messages on our social media almost every race from someone who is enjoying playing or winning an autographed prize. The championship prizes make the whole season special, and we are looking forward to a great 2025.”

Throughout the development of DRBB one of the hallmarks has been the driver signed national event plaques. To date 31 different drivers have signed plaques for category and overall winners. In addition to the plaques, companies like Summit Racing Equipment have provided gift certificates, PEAK Antifreeze offered John Force Racing signed items during their sponsorship of the Gerber Collision & Glass Route 66 Nationals in Chicago and Hagan Cattle Company, who sponsored the Virginia Nationals, provided the top five winners with premium beef as a bonus. Laris Motorsports Insurance sponsored the first race of the Countdown opening the door for players to check out a special offer from one of the leading motorsports insurance companies in the country.
