LAS VEGAS (April 09, 2025) – Funny Car rising star Daniel Wilkerson and his SCAG Power Equipment Ford Mustang Funny Car team are set to take on the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, the fourth stop of the 20-race 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series.

In just his second full season behind the wheel of the SCAG Ford Mustang, Wilkerson is coming off his second career runner-up finish at the Lucas Oil NHRA Winternationals in Southern California. The SCAG team is eager to build on that momentum and chase Wilkerson’s first career Funny Car victory during this weekend’s unique four-wide racing format.

“I’m still beaming with excitement from Sunday at In-N-Out Burger Pomona Drag Strip. I’m so proud of my team; to be able to rebound from a bad qualifying effort on Friday and Saturday and then to make it to the finals on Sunday. With any luck we can carry that into Vegas four-wide racing,” Wilkerson said. “Traditionally Tim is very good at these events, we were in our first final at a four-wide event last year and now that there are three with one in the Countdown, I’m excited for the extra practice as a driver. Even from a fan’s point of view (which I am and always will be), the four-wide is an awesome spectacle, even sitting in the race car in the water box you can feel the power of an extra two cars.”

At the 2024 Las Vegas Four-Wide Nationals, the Springfield, IL native, guided by his father and crew chief Tim Wilkerson, qualified sixth for the 16-car field before have an early exit in the first quad. Wilkerson redeemed the performance just a few weeks later with a runner-up finish at the Charlotte Four-Wide Nationals.

Wilkerson, who currently sits seventh in the Funny Car points standings, will also be competing in Saturday’s Mission Foods #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge where he’ll rematch against opponents he faced during the eliminations at the Winternationals for a chance at a cash prize and championship bonus points.

Racing action at the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway begins with four rounds of qualifying with two sessions Friday and Saturday at noon and 2:30 p.m. Eliminations kick off Sunday 11:00 a.m. Television coverage of the event will be on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) with two qualifying shows Friday at 9:30 p.m. ET and Sunday at 11 a.m. ET. Eliminations will air Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
