DRAG RACE BRACKET BONANZA AND DRAGRACEREFERENCE.COM JOIN FORCES IN 2025

By: Werner Communications

DALLAS (February 27, 2025) — After announcing that Drag Race Bracket Bonanza (DRBB) will be back for the entire 2025 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season, they are now adding a new partner to their lineup: stats website DragRaceReference.com. The two platforms are joining forces primarily to beef up the race statistics offered in DRBB’s “Densy’s Deets” tip sheet, as well as on their social media channels.

“We launched “Densy’s Deets” at the beginning of last year as an additional resource for our players as they make their picks after qualifying ends,” said DRBB founder Elon Werner. “The response we received from our players and sponsors was that this was exactly what they needed to make an informed decision while filling out their brackets.”

DragRaceReference.com is a free website launched in May 2024 by longtime drag racing fan and statistician David Wesolowski of South Lyon, Michigan. He created the website because he saw a hole in the market for fans to easily find NHRA race results for Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock, Pro Stock Motorcycle, Pro Mod, Pro Stock Truck, Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Alcohol Funny Car.

“Similarly to how Elon created Drag Race Bracket Bonanza because he wished something like it existed for drag racing fans, I felt there was a stats resource missing in drag racing,” said David Wesolowski. “I’ve been collecting these stats for years just because I found them interesting, but I realized that I could create a free resource for other fans to be able to take advantage of. When building the site, I put a huge emphasis on the ease of use and ability to quickly find information and results. I am still expanding it, because I always have more ideas.”

The Drag Race Bracket Bonanza “Densy’s Deets” tip sheet is sent out on the Friday before each national event at 2 p.m. EST. It includes current points standings, stats from DragRaceReference.com and analysis from Dave “Densy” Densmore, described as a “Hall of Fame Statistician and PR Guru.”

The insights from the tip sheet are then utilized in Drag Illustrated’s “Who Ya Got?” podcast, hosted by JT Hudson, Rex Simmermaker and Elon Werner. The video podcast is released on Drag Illustrated’s social media platforms on Thursdays before each national event at 7 p.m. CST/8 p.m. EST. The podcast will pick back up for the 2025 season prior to the NHRA Arizona Nationals.

“When we created the “Densy’s Deets” tip sheet, it was before PlayNHRA was announced,” said Werner. “But now that legal gambling is in play for the NHRA, we see it as a resource for both our players and those who are interested in putting real money on the line. DRBB operates in a different lane than PlayNHRA, since our game is free and has no age requirement, but what we offer can be beneficial for all parties. Having the “Who Ya Got? podcast platform allows us to share the “Densy’s Deets” intel more broadly.”

In addition to the “Densy’s Deets” tip sheet, DRBB will be using DragRaceReference.com’s head-to-head data in their social media posts after matchups are set for race day. Fans can follow DRBB on social media for cool stats, prize updates, and info on Twitter/X at @dragracebb or @DragRaceBracketBonanza on Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.

Drag Race Bracket Bonanza will have many more exciting announcements coming out leading up to the AMALIE Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals, March 6-9. DRBB players will have the opportunity to fill out their brackets for the first time in 2025 during the Gatornationals, when qualifying ends on Saturday, March 8. They will then have until the first round of eliminations begins on Sunday, March 9 at 10:30 a.m. ET to submit their picks. Fans can watch the NHRA broadcast on FS1.
