OWASSO, OK (April 24, 2024) — Through the first four races of the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season, Rookie of the Year contender Brandon Foster has shown that his driving skill combined with his Aqua Prop Chevrolet Camaro powered by KB Titan Racing will be a serious contender all season. Heading into the Charlotte Four-Wide Nationals this weekend Foster has shown that the unique format does not intimidate the business owner from Oklahoma. Two weeks ago, Foster won his first two rounds of four-wide racing and competed in the final quad with some of the most veteran drivers on tour at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This weekend Foster and his Aqua Prop Camaro will be looking for one more win light at zMAX Dragway.
“The Las Vegas Four-Wide Nationals was a wild experience,” said Foster, who is current No. 5 in the Pro Stock point standings. “That was only my fourth Pro Stock race and there was a lot going on. I think the fact that I am new and learning every race played to my advantage because honestly, I didn’t have to unlearn a routine. I am really feeling more and more comfortable with every run this season. I feel very confident coming in Charlotte.”
Foster has a lot to be confident about considering he started his Pro Stock career with quarterfinal finishes at his first two races, the historic Gatornationals and Winternationals. The driver who is chasing Rookie of the Year honors has his sights set on continuing to improve behind the wheel and go rounds on Sunday. In a bumper crop of rookies Foster has established himself as an early favorite for the award based on his performance in the first four races.
“We did some testing before the season started but really the best way to get better is during the races,” said Foster. “We lost some qualifying rounds and I need to be out here making laps. I am glad we get four qualifying runs in Charlotte this weekend. Every pass I get more comfortable behind the wheel and our Aqua Prop Camaro team gets more data.”
Foster’s primary sponsor Aqua Prop is a company that he owns and operates which offers cost-effective and efficient solutions to enhance the performance of proppants, contributing to the success of frac operations. Foster is thrilled to be promoting his company to the thousands of NHRA fans around the country as well as businesses that could get involved with Aqua Prop.
“Our business is very much about relationships and putting in an honest day of work for and honest day of pay,” said Foster. “I think that resonates with the NHRA fan and people in the frac operations business. Just over the past four races I have talked with a ton of fans that know someone in our line of work or are interested in learning more about Aqua Prop. I tell people all the time that NHRA is a great promotional tool and we will be doing some exciting things this season to really promote Aqua Prop.”
For Foster competing in the Pro Stock ranks is a dream come true. His children are active in the Junior Dragster program and Foster loves leading by example as the whole family, including his four children, as they grow up and learn at the track. He will also get a new experience as he participates in the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge for the first time. Foster will be racing for cash and championship points during the qualifying rounds on Saturday and will also participate in the driver autograph session on Saturday.
“This is a family affair for us and getting to drive this Aqua Pro Camaro is amazing,” said Foster, after the Las Vegas Four-Wide Nationals. “We raced all the way to the final quad and now we get to try and win some of that Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge money and some championship points. I was pretty pumped up in that last race and jumped the start but that is all part of the learning process. I will try and learn from that this weekend. I am having a blast and want to keep the positive momentum rolling.”
Foster and the Aqua Prop will get two qualifying runs on Friday to prepare for the Mission #2Fast2Tasty Challenge as well as their final two qualifiers on Saturday. The quickest 16 Pro Stock drivers will get the chance to race for the Wally on Sunday. The race will be broadcast nationally on FS1 and fans interested in more information can visit www.nhra.com.
