OCALA, FLA. (June 4, 2025) — Josh Hart is a businessman and team owner that is always in motion. Whether it is overseeing his growing business, Burnyzz Speed Shop, in Ocala, Florida with his wife Brittanie, or running 330 mph in the TechNet R+L Carriers Top Fuel dragster in the Mission Foods Drag Racing Series. This weekend at the Super Grip NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals, Hart will showcase his multi-tasking skills racing Top Fuel and his Dodge Challenger Drag Pak in the Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown class while also promoting Burnyzz Speed Shop with a midway display. Additionally, Hart will be spending time with fans at free autograph appearances before and during the race.

“I don’t know if I could pack more into this weekend,” said Hart, from the Burnyzzz Speed Shop office. “We raced in Epping last weekend and I flew home right after the race. I have been at Burnyzz and we’ll head to Bristol in a couple days. I spent some time with my family, and we’ll be off again before we know it. Sometimes it seems like a lot, but I also know I am blessed to be able to pursue all these passions. There is no way I could do this without the support of my wife, Brittanie, and three great teams; the team at Burnyzz, my Top Fuel team and the guys at DHDR on the Flexjet side.”
Hart will be looking to continue to move up the Top Fuel point standing racing his red, white and blue TechNet Top Fuel dragster at Bristol Dragway. In four of the previous five races Hart raced to the quarterfinals. Last weekend he dropped his first round race but the early exit will not diminish his focus to get back into the Top Fuel winner’s circle.
“We are just past the halfway point of the regular season and there are a group of teams all bunched up in the bottom half of the Top Ten,” said Hart. “A good weekend in Bristol could move us to the top of that group and then we can start reeling in more drivers. There is a regular season championship on the line and then once we get into the Countdown anything can happen.”
Hart’s history at Bristol Dragway has been challenging since he made his first appearance in 2021. In 2023 he raced to the quarterfinals from the No. 12 spot defeating Mike Salinas in the first round before losing in the second round to eventual race winner Justin Ashley. Last year Hart and the TechNet/R+L Carriers team started from the No. 10 qualifying position and lost a close first round race to Billy Torrence. His best qualifying start at the Thunder Valley Nationals was No. 3 in 2022.
“Bristol hasn’t been very kind to our team but every year we get more data,” said Hart. “Ron and Jason will put their heads together and we will be ready when we come off the trailer on Friday. I am glad we are getting four qualifying runs and I’ll also be on track for the Flextjet series so I will be in race mode all the time. I love being busy at the track so this will be a good weekend for us.”
This will be Hart’s fourth Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown Series race running under the David H Davies Racing banner. Hart’s eye-catching Burnyzz Speed Shop Dodge Challenger has been making consistent progress since its first race at the Gatornationals. The driving skill required is dramatically different from his 12,000-horsepower Top Fuel dragster but the veteran driver who has won in Top Alcohol Dragster and Top Fuel has enjoyed the challenge.

“Driving the Burnyzz Speed Shop Dodge Challenger has been eye-opening and a lot of fun,” said Hart. “When that car come off the line with a nice wheel stand and starts accelerating down the track it’s pretty cool. The guys at DHDR have been awesome to race with and I am looking for more progress in Bristol. In addition to seeing the Burnyzz Dodge on the track we’ll have a Burnyzz Speed Shop display in the midway.”
Hart will join all the stars of the NHRA on Saturday night for a free driver autograph session in the pits that will start 30 minutes after the final qualifying session. This annual event gives hundreds of fans the chance to meet their favorite drivers and get a photo or autograph.
“The great thing about the NHRA is the fan access and the sponsor support,” said Hart. “I am looking forward to seeing the fans on Saturday night after qualifying and then hopefully they will come by the trailer during the race on Sunday.”
Qualifying for Hart and all the Top Fuel teams will start on Friday at 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. with two more qualifying sessions on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Hart will also be hitting the track for Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown qualifying runs Friday at 2:45 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. with a Saturday session at 11:15 a.m. Eliminations for the Flexjet Factory Stock Showdown Series will start Saturday afternoon and the Top Fuel eliminations will commence on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. The race will be broadcast nationally on FS1 starting at 3:00 p.m. ET.
