For Immediate Release

(Perris, CA,)  After two of the wildest shows in track history, “The Craziest Show On Dirt,” Night of Destruction presented by LKQ Pick Your Part, returns to Perris Auto Speedway this Saturday, May 4th.  The crazy night of family fun, dirt track racing, and lots of wrecks, will begin at 7:00 p.m.  Spectator gates at the beautiful Riverside County racing facility will open at 5:00.

Saturday’s action-packed, thrill-a-minute show will feature daring Figure 8 racing, rough and tumble Democross, no-holds-barred mighty Mini Stocks on the road course, a wild Figure 8 Trailer race, and of course, the zany Double Deckers.   They are the same divisions that have opened the season with two of the wildest shows in the track’s 28 seasons of racing.  Drivers and their teams have been busy in the shop getting the vehicles repaired or building new ones so they can be ready for this Saturday.

“Night of Destruction delivers every time,” promoter Don Kazarian said.  “The start of the season has produced some of the wildest, craziest shows we have ever hosted.  We certainly think this Saturday will be just as wild and perhaps even crazier.  The crowd loved the first two shows and we think they will be in for another exciting night of action on Saturday.  The drivers have been hard at work the past four weeks.  In addition to the teams that already started the season, we expect to welcome some new entries as well.”

“The crowd has responded well to the return of the Figure 8 Trailer races,” Kazarian continued.  “We dropped them at the start of the 2022 season due to a lack of entries and unimaginative trailers.  The drivers asked us to bring them back and they have responded with some extra competitors and some fun trailers.  The crowd loves to cheer for the drivers with the most imaginative trailer décor.  That is what makes trailer racing so popular.  We are glad that the drivers are putting on a trailer race the fans are enjoying.”

Before the racing begins, all of the drivers and cars will be on the front straightaway from 5:15-5:45.  Fans will be allowed to go on the track to meet them, take photos, get autographs, and collect free candy.

Second-generation star Earl Cox of Norco, a three-time track Figure 8 champion, has won the first two Figure 8 races of the year and is the point leader.  Michael Schattilly of Whittier and Rob Multhaupt Jr of Orange have split the first two Figure 8 Trailer mains of the year and come into Saturday deadlocked for the point lead.  Defending Mini Stock champ Kris Martin of Riverside and Steve Green Sr. have one win each in the Mini Stocks.  Martin holds a six-point lead over Riverside’s Austin Kinnane in the Mini Stock championship chase.  In Democross, Hemet’s Garrett McCourt and Brett Wayland of Riverside each have a win in 2024, but defending champion Trebor Stephens leads the championship chase.   The Hot Diggity Dodge and Bug Ya’ Later have captured the season-opening mains in the Double Deckers and are tied for the point lead.

Adult tickets for the fast-paced show, crazy that is usually over between 9:30 and 9:45 are $20.00.  For kids 6-12 it is only $5.00 and children 5 and under are free.  The fairgrounds charge $10.00 for parking.  Advance tickets are available 24 hours a day at tix.com or by calling 1-800-595-4849.  If you do not wish to buy advance tickets, no problem at all.  There will be plenty available for everyone at the ticket window beginning at 5:00 on Saturday.
