DALLAS (October 1, 2025) — A brand-new episode of Talkin’ Funny Cars with Buddy Hull airs tonight, featuring Dave Richards, the Funny Car driver for SCAG Racing/BlueBird Turf. The episode will premiere at 8 p.m. ET and 8 p.m. PT on the NHRA FAST Channel.

Richards joins Hull for an honest and entertaining conversation that highlights his unique journey in the sport. From tackling the challenges of competing as a larger guy in one of the most demanding categories in motorsports, to the special opportunity of racing alongside his brother, Richards’ story is one of determination, family and love for the sport. He also talks about the incredible support he receives from his sponsor, SCAG, and how their belief in him has fueled his career and passion for Funny Car racing.

“Dave is one of the most relatable and inspiring guys out here in Funny Car,” said Buddy Hull, host of Talkin’ Funny Cars. “He’s proof that passion and perseverance matter more than size, and his story about racing with family and having a sponsor like SCAG behind him is one every fan should hear. He talks a lot about his fellow SCAG teammates, and what their comradery means to him, proving once again that he’s truly just a great guy.”
Fans of the show can watch the episode on the NHRA FAST Channel, available free on 13 platforms including The Roku Channel (USA & Canada), Tubi, Samsung TV Plus, Sling Freestream and others. After the show airs tonight, it will be added to the Talkin’ Funny Cars with Buddy Hull YouTube channel.
“Racing Funny Cars is a dream for me and doing it with my family and with SCAG Racing’s support makes it even more special,” said Richards. “Talking with Buddy gave me a chance to share who I am beyond the car, and I hope fans connect with that.”
