DRAG RACE BRACKET BONANZA INTRODUCES NEW TRACK CHALLENGE PROGRAM WITH HELP FROM RODAK’S COFFEE

By: Werner Communications

DALLAS (February 28, 2025) — What makes a good idea a great idea is an openness to evolution. Now in its third season, Drag Race Bracket Bonanza (DRBB), is launching a new program, the Track Challenge. And to support this program, Rodak’s Coffee has agreed to come on as a sponsor. The Track Challenge will debut during the first NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series event of the season, the AMALIE Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals, March 6-9.

“The Track Challenge started off as an idea in my head of how we could get even more people playing Drag Race Bracket Bonanza all over the country and provide tracks a new way to engage with their racers, customers and sponsors year-round,” said DRBB founder Elon Werner. “After noodling on the idea during the off-season with the DRBB team, we decided to make it a reality. We’re lucky that Rodak’s Coffee signed on to this program early, when we were still figuring out logistically what it would look like.”

This new program is a partnership available to the over 100 NHRA member tracks across the country. There is a new Track Challenge tab at the top of the DRBB website, that leads players to a track leaderboard. There, they can see a list of the participating tracks and click on the track leagues they want to join. Tracks themselves will also be utilizing their own communication channels, encouraging their local audiences to play DRBB within their track league.

Points will be very straight forward – the more players a track has playing in their league, the higher they will rank on the leaderboard. DRBB players have proven to be very competitive, so Werner anticipates that the Rodak’s Coffee Track Challenge has the potential to get heated between tracks.

“We’re going to frequently be posting updates on our social media channels with which tracks are in the lead,” said Werner. “I fully expect there to be some smack talking between tracks. But beyond being competitive, my hope is that the Rodak’s Coffee Track Challenge is a way for tracks to foster community with the teams, drivers and fans within their audiences. We’ve heard from track owners that they plan on using the Track Challenge to boost track pride, and they want to host watch parties of national events in between their own events.”

Marvin Rodak, the founder and owner of Rodak’s Coffee, was an early player of Drag Race Bracket Bonanza. He knew he wanted to find a way to get involved, and the Track Challenge seemed like the perfect opportunity. Rodak’s specialty grade coffees are roasted fresh per order. They have over 40 varieties, hailing from Central America, Indonesia & Asia, Africa & Yemen and South America. Coffee can be purchased by the pound and is shipped around the country.

“Rodak’s Coffee is a Fort Worth, Texas-based company, so the Dallas race is at my home track,” said Rodak. “I’ve seen Elon at the races for years, and when he created DRBB I loved it. I play every race weekend with my buddies. I told him last year I would figure out a way to help support the game, so when he came to me with this idea, I knew it was the right fit. This program is engaging with tracks all over the United States, and I want to bring awareness of Rodak’s to a more national audience.”

DRBB has been in communication with all the NHRA Division Directors, and as of right now 13 NHRA member tracks have agreed to participate. Tracks can sign on at any time during the season, and if players do not see their local track on the leaderboard, the DRBB team encourages them to reach out to the track to tell them to get involved.

“We’re excited to see how this program will grow over the course of the season,” said Werner. “With the help of incredible sponsors like Rodak’s Coffee, we’re able to keep improving our free game for drag racing fans. It has brought me so much joy to see how DRBB has helped make the drag racing tent even bigger. And we’re still just getting started.”
