By: Werner Communications

DALLAS (September 9, 2025) — The award winning Talkin’ Funny Cars with Buddy Hull  television show will return for a second season beginning this Wednesday, September 10, at 8 p.m. ET and 8 p.m. PT on the NHRA FAST Channel. Last year the 30-minute conversational-style show hosted by then rookie Funny Car driver Buddy Hull introduced the wildly entertaining personalities of NHRA Funny Car drivers to a broader audience on the NHRA’s FAST channel. The interview style show was recognized as a People’s Telly Gold Winner in the 46th annual Telly Awards earlier this year.

“I can’t wait for people to see season two of Talkin Funny Cars with Buddy Hull,” said show host Buddy Hull. “We sat down with a great group of drivers in Sonoma and filmed the first seven episodes and we will finish up filming in a few weeks. The response we got last year to the show was amazing and we are excited to highlight some really cool and interesting drivers. The season premiere episode has me as the guest so tune in to find out more about me as well as a look back at our first season.”

Talkin’ Funny Cars with Buddy Hull, the first television offering produced by Werner G+E LLC, debuted on the NHRA FAST Channel Wednesday, July 31, 2024. The interview-style program, hosted by NHRA professional Funny Car driver Buddy Hull was the latest original series added to the NHRA’s 24/7 digital channel which is available on 13 platforms including the Roku Channel (USA & Canada), Tubi, Samsung TV Plus, Sling Freestream and others. Guests in 2024 included Ron Capps, Dan Wilkerson, Cruz Pedregon, Paul Lee, Austin Prock, J.R. Todd, Matt Hagan, Jack Beckman and Funny Car legend Billy Meyer.

“We learned a lot about making TV shows and from our guests, so season two will be even better,” said Elon Werner, Executive Producer and president of Werner G+E LLC. “This season we were able to line up a diverse group of Funny Car drivers and legends. Buddy did a great job of getting personal and interesting anecdotes from them about their driving careers as well as their personal lives. Talkin’ Funny Cars with Buddy Hull is like nothing else on TV because it mixes sports, life, unique personalities and conversations about the coolest race cars on the planet, Nitro Funny Cars.”

Talkin’ Funny Cars with Buddy Hull is the brainchild of Werner G+E LLC president Elon Werner, who also owns a successful sports public relations company, Werner Communications, and is the creator of Drag Race Bracket Bonanza. Future episodes of Talkin’ Funny Cars with Buddy Hull will include Dave Richards, Alexis DeJoria, rookie of the year front-runner Spencer Hyde, Jeff “The Surfer” Diehl, Joe Morrison and NHRA legend Jim Dunn.

“The NHRA is a rich landscape of interesting personalities and stories,” said Werner. “When the opportunity to create an original series was presented last year, the creative wheels in my head just started spinning. I think there are endless storylines available for original content whether it is 30-minute personality driven shows or longer form documentaries and even scripted series.”

The interview-style program will be broadcast on NHRA’s 24/7 digital channel which is available on 13 platforms including the Roku Channel (USA & Canada), Tubi, Samsung TV Plus, Sling Freestream and others. Interested viewers can search NHRA and select the LIVE option on any of these platforms. Following the original broadcast of each episode of Talkin’ Funny Cars with Buddy Hull, the show will go into programming rotation on the NHRA FAST Channel and will be posted on the Talkin’ Funny Cars with Buddy Hull YouTube channel.
