SARALE SCORES IN USAC’S PLAZA PARK RETURN

Visalia, California (September 12, 2025)………Caden Sarale led all 30 laps en route to victory during Friday night’s USAC Avanti Windows & Doors Western States Midget feature at Visalia, California’s Plaza Park Raceway.

The event was the first USAC Western States Midget event held at Plaza Park’s 1/5-mile dirt oval since 2013, 12 years earlier.

Sarale (Stockton, California) went fourth to first on the opening lap of the main. Outside front row starter Dane Culver bounced several times atop the turn two cushion, opening the door for Sarale to race on by for second and into the lead past pole sitter Ben Covich by the time the field reached the back straightaway.

Sarale was never headed from that point forward as he zipped away for his third series win of the season and the sixth of his career, all while extending his championship point lead to 54.

Jake Andreotti finished second while T.J. Smith grabbed third. Culver finished fourth despite a tangle that forced him to restart 16th. Connor Speir, meanwhile, finished fifth.

In qualifying, Jett Yantis set a new one-lap USAC Western States Midget track record at Plaza Park with a lap of 11.824 seconds. That broke the former record of 12.120, held by David Prickett since 2013. Yantis’ night didn’t as well as he flipped upside down after colliding with the car driven by Todd Hawse in turn four during the feature. Both drivers were okay.
