From Crashes to Dance Battles—It’s All “Family Fun” at Perris’ Night of Destruction!

Perris, California — April 22, 2026 — When it comes to a night of family fun at the local racetrack, nothing tops Perris Auto Speedway’s Night of Destruction. It is not just about the racing or the crashes—it is about delivering a full evening of clean family fun in a tight two-and-a-half to three-hour package. Families get the thrills, kids get involved, and everyone is heading home at a reasonable hour.

When the show roars into the famous Riverside County clay track this Saturday, fans will be treated to daring Figure 8 racing, a wild Figure 8 Trailer Race, lightning-quick Mini Stocks battling on the challenging twisty road course, rough-and-tumble Demo Cross action, and the always zany Double Deckers.

The track made some changes for Night of Destruction before the 2026 season, and the response from fans has been overwhelmingly positive.

PAS management brought back three popular traditions. The student ticket price returned, allowing teens ages 13–17 with a school ID to get in for just $15.00—a $10.00 savings over 2025. The fan-favorite kids’ dance contest also came back at intermission. Now called the “Dance Battle,” it awards prizes to the top young performers. Immediately afterward, T-shirts are launched into the crowd. Before the final race of the night, the heavily populated grandstands come alive with a sing-along that caps off the evening.

“It is not just about the racing,” promoter Don Kazarian said on Tuesday. “It is about entertaining, having a good time, and sending the fans back home at a decent hour. In addition to watching the racing, kids love competing in the dance contest and hollering for the crew to throw shirts their way. It adds to the fun of the show for them.”

“It is also important to get the show done in a timely fashion,” the longtime promoter continued. “Night of Destruction ends between 9:30 and 10:00 p.m. Kids have a great time and are on the way home at a decent hour. The worst thing that can happen is to see kids sleeping in the grandstands at a racetrack as the show drags on. If that happens, when their parents ask them if they want to come back, they are probably going to remember being bored and falling asleep, and they will not want to return. That is why we always strive to keep the show moving and send everyone home at a decent time.”

Two races into the season, champions have set the tempo in their divisions. In the Figure 8s, four-time champion Jesse Gordon of Beaumont captured the first two main events of the year. Likewise, Whittier’s Michael Schattilly, a two-time Figure 8 Trailer champion, remains undefeated.

In the Mini Stocks, the father-and-son duo of Steven Green Sr. and Steven Green Jr. of Lake Elsinore—the last two champions in the class—have split the first two mains of the year.

In Demo Cross competition, 2021 co-champion Austin Kinane of Riverside and two-time titleholder Trebor Stevens each have scored wins. In the crowd-favorite Double Deckers, three-time champions Lonnie & Cale Skillman in the Bug Ya’ Later and the team of Joshua Sawvell and Francisco Rojas in the Hot Diggity Dodge have one victory apiece.

Ticket prices for Saturday’s show are $25.00 for adults. Students ages 13–17 with their school ID are $15.00. Kids ages 6–12 are $10.00, and children 5 and under are free. Active military with ID are admitted for $5.00. Parking at the fairgrounds is $20.00 (parking payment is by card only).

Advance tickets for all races are available at tix.com. For fans who do not want to purchase advance tickets, there will be plenty available for everyone at the ticket windows on race night.
