Aaron Stanfield #2Fast2Tasty Quotes:
“I think our whole group has some momentum right now. For sure, it feels good to be turning on some win lights, especially against those KB guys right now. They’ve been tough to beat here lately, and it’s been nice to have some momentum rolling our way. It definitely feels good to beat Greg Anderson on the whole shot. I think if we’re close enough to him performance wise with the car, we’re going to have that opportunity. So, I look forward to doing some more of it, and I’m going to try to stay on my A-game.
“It was good to beat the old man there (Greg Stanfield); he beat himself really. I think we bring out the best in each other and we’re going to try to be perfect when we race each other. He made a heck of a run there and put Janac Brothers on the pole for the weekend. I know it’s been a while. For me it’s cool to see because I get to have my hands on his car a little. So overall, a really good day today.
“I think everybody in the Elite pit is able to take a little bit of a breath right now, but I can promise you they’re not satisfied. I think we all can agree that we still got a little way to go, so just keeping our heads down and keep on working. There’s no quit in them boys. I’m right there behind them and my dad is right there behind them, and we’re going to keep pushing.”
Greg Stanfield No. 1 Qualifier Quotes:
“This No. 1 qualifier is a testament to all the hard work that the Elite guys put in to get these cars ready. We’re just the lucky ones who get to drive. It feels good to go No. 1. I’ll feel even better if I can hold that big Wally tomorrow.
“My car right now, the Janac Brothers car is really happy. So, we have to take advantage of that car being really happy. We’re trying to make some really good calls and we’re making some really nice runs. You can see it on the scoreboard, that’s what we need. That’s big for our team. I think everybody will have a good time here getting these cars faster. That’s the goal: have all of these Elite cars fast and quick. So, they’re all working hard and we as the drivers are trying to do our best. We don’t want to let them down.”
