USAC MRA SPRINT HIGH VOLTAGE HUSTLE GOES TO WAGNER AT LAKESIDE

Kansas City, Kansas (July 10, 2026)………Jack Wagner reigned victorious in the first ever High Voltage Hustle for the USAC Wholesale Batteries MRA Sprint Cars on Friday night at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas.

The Lone Jack, Missouri racer, driving the Jesse Hockett-Wagner Boys Racing No. 77, passed Xavier Doney with five laps to go following a restart to finish 2.073 seconds ahead.

For Wagner, it was his third series win of the season as he collected $6,000 for the victory. Ricky Lewis (Oxnard, California) finished as the runner-up with Xavier Doney (Odessa, Missouri) third, Trey Osborne (Columbus, Ohio) fourth, and Wyatt Burks (Topeka, Kansas) fifth.

Lewis’s second place finish came after running second in the early going before having to spin to avoid another car 10 laps into the 25-lap feature. From there, Lewis marched his way back toward the front, passing Doney for second before the race came to its conclusion. The runner-up results spoiled Lewis’ shot at a third straight win after victories at Kokomo and Terre Haute last weekend.

Doney, known as the X-Man, was the fastest in time trials, and in the feature, led the first 20 laps before winding up third. His night was made more impressive after converting his winged sprint car into a non-winged car during the morning before driving his Doney-Lawson machine to the podium.

Samuel Wagner (Lone Jack, Missouri), Dakota Earls (Independence, Missouri) Chase Howard (Nesbit, Mississippi), Braydon Cromwell (Lone Jack, Missouri), and Chad Goff (Spring Hill, Kansas) rounded out the top 10.

Early in the evening before a packed house at Lakeside Speedway, Jack Wagner, Ricky Lewis, and Braydon Cromwell took heat race wins on a beautifully prepared racetrack.
