Waynesfield, Ohio (June 18, 2026)………Zach Wigal led all 20 laps to win Thursday night’s USAC Midwest Thunder SpeeD2 Midget non-points special event feature at Ohio’s Waynesfield Raceway Park.

Wigal (Belpre, Ohio) took the lead on the start from the outside of row one and paced the field from green to checkered in a race that saw only one caution.

Finishing the dominant victory by a 3.2 second margin, Wigal beat outpaced runner-up Luke Hall. Bryce Massingill took third with Chett Gehrke fourth and Trisdon Brown rounding out the top-five.

Wigal was also the fastest qualifier with a lap of 13.833 seconds.

Hall won the Jeff Hill Trailer Sales first heat race. Gehrke scored the victory in Stiefel’s Home & Auto heat race two. Brown captured the Hoosier Auto Racing Fans third heat race.

Massingill was the Performance Powder Coating Hard Charger of the feature. After drawing the number eight pill in the redraw, Massingill advanced five positions to finish third in the feature.

Ian Creager earned the Wilwood Disc Brakes Tough Brake award for pulling the number nine pill for the feature redraw after finishing third in heat one. Creager also received the LynK Chassis bonus for finishing 10th in the feature.
