Event/Facility Highlights:
In 2024, Salinas scored her first Top Fuel round win at this event

2025 Event Recap:
Salinas did not compete in this event in 2025

Last Event (Gainesville):
Qualified 14th; First round exit (defeated by Leah Pruett in E1)

26 total races; four semifinal finishes

Noteworthy:

  • Salinas makes her return to the NHRA tour after sitting out the Phoenix and Pomona 1 events
  • While Salinas did not compete in the last two NHRA national events, the Scrappers Racing team did head east to participate in two IHRA races. At the IHRA season opener, Salinas raced to an impressive runner-up finish after qualifying No. 1 and reset the track E.T. record in the process

Quotable:
“This is going to be a big weekend for us. The four-wides are a lot of fun and I love racing at zMax. NHRA Drag Racing is always so exciting and intense, but when you put four 12,000-horsepower machines on the line at the same time, it goes to a different level. I’ve been gaining experience competing in different formats this season and learning how to maintain consistency regardless of circumstances. Hopefully that translates into a competitive advantage for Scrappers Racing when we hit the track.

“I love racing at events with my sister, Jianna (Evaristo, Pro Stock Motorcycle), and having that family support this weekend will be good for both of us. We are also looking forward to meeting a group from Big Brothers Big Sisters that Richard Gadson is bringing out to the track. I love getting to introduce people to the sport, especially kids! Todd (Okuhara, crew chief) and Adem (Cave, assistant crew chief) have a really good handle on the car, and we are all eager to make some big moves this weekend for Valley Services.”
