Jeff Arend, Driver of the Jim Dunn Racing KGC Construction Funny Car
“The Bristol track was tough to tame! I had a lot of fans congratulating us on qualifying in the No. 4 spot after Q1. It was a great way to start the weekend. On Saturday, the Jim Dunn Racing Dodge was on a nice run and almost made it before getting loose at the other end. Big Jim (Dunn) and I sat down on Saturday night and came up with a race day game-plan. Everything went according to plan as we made it through the ‘smoke the tires zone.’ It was a close race, but Jack Beckman got the win light. Overall, it was a great weekend, especially for the data for high track temperatures. I am looking forward to Norwalk with the knowledge we gained. Thank you to KGC and all our sponsors and fans for their continued support. The Jim Dunn Racing team has made respectable runs at every race this year. We are going to earn that win that we deserve!”
