SAN DIEGO (June 17, 2026) – NASCAR San Diego today unveiled a race weekend food and beverage experience unlike any other in motorsports, bringing together award-winning Navy culinary teams, veteran-owned businesses, independently owned local restaurants, and nationally recognized brands to create an authentic taste of San Diego.

Designed to celebrate the city’s military heritage while creating meaningful economic opportunities for local businesses, the NASCAR San Diego culinary program will feature everything from premium hospitality prepared by the Navy’s top culinary specialists to locally roasted coffee, handcrafted cocktails, specialty tacos and cutting-edge autonomous food delivery. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds will be reinvested into the Navy’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) program to further support the military community.

“Our goal is for every aspect of NASCAR San Diego to reflect the community that has welcomed us to Naval Base Coronado with open arms,” said Michelle Weddige, Sr. Director of Business Strategy, NASCAR. “By partnering with military organizations, veteran entrepreneurs, local businesses and national brands, we’re creating an experience that’s uniquely San Diego while ensuring race weekend leaves a meaningful economic impact long after the checkered flag.”

Local Partnerships

NASCAR San Diego has also prioritized partnerships with independently owned San Diego businesses, ensuring race weekend creates opportunities for entrepreneurs across the region.

Featured local partners include:

  • Solace Catering, a female-owned San Diego business providing premium catering for suites and hospitality experiences.
  • Bella Beverages, a female-owned local company delivering customized bartending services throughout premium hospitality.
  • Trident Coffee, the veteran-owned San Diego coffee company founded by a former Navy SEAL, will produce an exclusive custom canned cold brew available in premium suites
  • The Mental Bar, a Black woman veteran-owned business serving wellness-inspired beverages in the Media Center
  • Longball Cocktails, a San Diego company producing an exclusive custom canned cocktail available only in premium suites during NASCAR San Diego race weekend.

Navy Pride

Working alongside the Navy Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) to contract some of the event’s food and beverages, a portion of the proceeds generated through the food services will benefit the Navy’s MWR programs, creating another lasting investment in the military community.

MWR will oversee catering inside Cuervo Lounge and Admiral’s Reserve areas, The Hangar Club and premium rooftop hospitality spaces throughout race weekend. MWR will also operate alcohol concessions across the venue, with the organization retaining 100 percent of alcohol concession proceeds to support quality-of-life programs for Navy personnel and their families.

Guests inside Cuervo Lounge and Admiral’s Reserve areas will enjoy meals prepared by Navy Culinary Specialists (CSs), including members of the team recently honored with the prestigious Captain Edward F. Ney Memorial Award, recognizing the Navy’s best galley worldwide. Their championship trophy will be on display throughout race weekend, giving guests the opportunity to see one of the Navy’s highest culinary honors firsthand.

Fan-Focused Firsts

Fans can also expect several race weekend exclusives that blend innovation with local flavor.

For the first time at a NASCAR event, Arby’s will deploy autonomous delivery robots to transport food throughout designated hospitality areas, introducing a new level of convenience while showcasing emerging technology.

Meanwhile, Freeway Insurance has partnered with Cassanova Fish Tacos to create the #7 Suárez Taco, a specialty menu item inspired by NASCAR Cup Series star Daniel Suárez that celebrates Southern California’s iconic taco culture.

The event’s beverage lineup will feature fan favorites from Jose Cuervo, Red Bull, Fuel by Franzia, Coca-Cola and Anheuser-Busch, offering a wide variety of refreshments across the race footprint.
